The Rockland Chesed Network (RCN), rooted in the Monsey community, began over three decades ago as Tomche Shabbos of Rockland County. Initially focused on delivering weekly food packages to families in need, the organization has since expanded its mission to address a broader spectrum of communal challenges. Recognizing the evolving needs of the community, RCN now serves as a centralized hub, unifying various support services under one umbrella to provide both immediate assistance and long-term solutions.

RCN's services encompass emergency support, including food distribution through Tomche Shabbos, financial aid for housing and utility expenses, and assistance with medical and mental health needs. Beyond crisis intervention, the network offers programs aimed at fostering self-sufficiency, such as job training and placement through Partners in Parnosoh. Additionally, RCN supports families during significant life events by providing resources for simchas, distributing clothing through Bobbie’s Place, and offering subsidized essentials via the Chodesh Food Outlet.

The organization's commitment to dignified giving ensures that assistance is provided discreetly, preserving the self-respect of recipients. RCN's proactive approach includes initiatives like the Pesach Fund and the Monsey Camp Fund, which alleviate financial burdens during Yomim Tovim and summer months. By addressing both immediate needs and underlying issues, RCN plays a pivotal role in strengthening the fabric of the Monsey community.
