Baltimore Shomrim, established in October 2005, is a volunteer-driven organization committed to enhancing the safety and security of the Northwest Baltimore Jewish community. Operating 24/7, their trained volunteers respond swiftly to calls, often arriving within minutes. Their mission encompasses proactive patrols, rapid response, and close collaboration with law enforcement to foster a secure environment for all residents.​

One of their key initiatives is the Camera Project, which strategically places surveillance cameras throughout the community. These cameras act as a deterrent to crime and assist law enforcement in investigations. Additionally, Baltimore Shomrim offers victim advocacy services, providing compassionate support and guidance to those affected by crime. Their advocates connect victims with resources such as counseling, legal aid, and financial assistance to help them navigate the aftermath of criminal incidents.​

The organization places a strong emphasis on public safety through neighborhood patrols, emergency preparedness initiatives, and community education.
