Valley Chabad - Teen Leadership Initiative
Teen Programs, Leadership Development, Jewish Identity, Community Service, Education
Location Served: Woodcliff Lake, Pascack Valley and Saddle River, New Jersey
Valley Chabad Teens offers structured programming for Jewish teens with a focus on leadership development, community service, and Jewish identity. The Teen Leadership Initiative includes multiple year-round programs designed to help high school students build skills, explore Jewish values, and engage with their peers in a positive environment. Participants are given opportunities to take on meaningful roles and responsibilities through both internal leadership activities and public service projects.
One of the primary programs is the Teen Leadership Initiative (TLI), which provides Jewish teens with hands-on leadership training and community involvement. TLI members meet regularly to learn communication, project planning, and teamwork skills, and they actively organize and participate in events benefiting the local and Jewish community. The program also encourages Jewish learning and ethical reflection through workshops and group discussions.
Valley Chabad Teens also offers CTeen programming, a global initiative under Chabad that connects Jewish teens through social, educational, and volunteer events. Participants engage in activities such as Shabbatons, holiday programming, regional meetups, and volunteer projects. This platform is designed to build a strong peer network and reinforce Jewish identity in a positive and relevant context.
