Tomche Shabbos of Boro Park provides weekly food support to families facing financial hardship. Each week, a team of volunteers assembles and delivers food boxes to approximately 400 families to help them prepare for Shabbos and Yom Tov. These boxes are distributed discreetly to protect the dignity of recipients, who are screened for eligibility before joining the program.

In addition to its regular weekly distribution, Tomche Shabbos significantly expands its operations before Pesach, delivering food and supplies to over 1,000 families. This seasonal initiative requires a dedicated budget of more than $500,000, reflecting the added expenses of the holiday and the scale of assistance provided.

The organization relies on a large network of volunteers from across the community, including professionals and students, who assist in packaging and delivering food. Recipients include a broad range of families dealing with challenges such as the death of a parent, unemployment, serious medical conditions, or elderly individuals without adequate support.

Discover. SUPPORT. CONNECT.
At Bridge to the Heart, we believe that tzedakah should be about connection, not attention. In a world where fundraising often leans on marketing tactics, grand campaigns, and external incentives, we aim to bring the focus back to the cause itself—the work being done and the lives being impacted. We provide a direct and transparent way to discover and support Orthodox Jewish organizations. No elaborate events, no expectations—just a place to find causes that align with your values and give because you believe in their mission. With Bridge to the Heart, you can search by name, category, or location to explore organizations that matter to you. Our goal is to reshape the culture of giving, making generosity a reflection of personal conviction rather than outside influence. Tzedakah is about heart, not hype. Let’s bring it back to what truly matters.
