The Proposal Gemach
Proposal Financial Assistance, Event Planning
Location Served: USA
The Proposal Gemach provides engagement-related support services for individuals preparing to propose. Its primary service is the lending of pre-packaged “proposal kits” that include commonly used engagement props such as a red carpet, table, champagne flutes, and other decorative items. These kits are offered to simplify the proposal setup process, allowing couples to access everything needed for a visually appealing and meaningful engagement moment without the cost or logistical hassle of sourcing items individually.
In addition to the kits, the organization connects users with photographers, florists, and jewelers who offer exclusive discounts, helping couples access professional services at a reduced cost. It also facilitates access to private or scenic locations for setting up a proposal through a network of individuals who offer their spaces. The service is designed to assist those who may not have the time, funds, or energy to organize the proposal themselves.
The Proposal Gemach has expanded significantly since its founding, operating in 24 U.S. locations including Brooklyn, Lakewood, Monsey, Florida, Los Angeles, Dallas, Baltimore, Queens, Five Towns, Passaic, and Chicago. International branches are active in Eretz Yisroel, Toronto, and London. The organization also partners with other groups to assist newly engaged or married couples with essential household items, and, in some cases, post-engagement needs such as transportation on the wedding night.
